Pre Sales Rep Job Description
Overview
The Pre Sales Representative’s role is to execute managed business-to-business conversations (by phone) to gather actionable sales intelligence from prospects. Pre Sales Representatives must possess strong phone skills and experience in the areas of lead generation, account development, inquiry management, and lead nurturing. They must be proactive with a positive/ team-player attitude.
Primary Duties:
The Pre Sales Representative is accountable for gathering business environment data, positioning client product benefits/features and qualifying prospects need, authority, timeframe to purchase and budgetary information. Pre Sales Representatives conduct appropriate and professional lead generation calls; enter information received from the phone call into a proprietary database to ensure that all prospect information is captured accurately and promptly; meet or exceed required output levels. Assume additional responsibilities as needed.
Pre Sales Representative Skill Pre Requisites:
- A minimum of 1-2 years outbound marketing-by-phone experience; preferred 1-2 years Inside Sales experience and/or specific lead generation experience
- An aptitude to learn technical product information
- Ability to be persistent, self reliant, and enthusiastic
- A team-player attitude; strong interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate confidence and be success orientated
- Strong PC skills (Word, Excel)
- Strong spelling and grammar
- Strong organizational skills
Pre Sales Representative Education and Experience:
- Marketing or Business degree, or related experience in either sales or marketing fields (preferred)
- High School diploma required

Premier Support Services Full-Cycle Sales Representative
This is your opportunity to join a new sales division of a dynamic multi-million $ B2B marketing services group and to work closely with one of the most recognized software companies in the world.
As a Services Sales Representative for the Lead Dogs, you will be responsible for achieving new premier support services sales goals within a designated US territory focused on mid-sized to Fortune 1000 corporate customers on behalf of our client working on-site at their offices located in Issaquah, WA. Specific responsibilities will include:
- Engage with executive level decision-makers on service offerings that address business needs
- Gain understanding of clients’ business objectives, manage sales cycle, and close services agreements through primarily phone-based interface with clients
- Propose, manage and execute on customer contracts to achieve revenue and business goals
- Deliver sales forecasts and customer feedback on trends, opportunities, and challenges in order to benchmark and forecast business and revenue
- Participate in account strategy and planning sessions with local and virtual sales teams as well as legal, sales, product development, product support teams and customer partners
Our ideal candidate will possess an enthusiastic, creative and focused approach to building pipeline and closing sales. Additionally, you will possess:
- 5+ years of experience in B2B technology related sales (experience with maintenance and service agreements is preferred)
- Ability to establish and enhance director to C-level customer relationships
- Demonstrated multi-million dollar quota achievement for past 2-3 years
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills coupled with a high attention to detail
- Knowledge of Solution Selling Methodology is desired
- Knowledge of Microsoft products and services is desired
